Consistently making stocks for hardworking every day guns and cherished or valuable vintage guns for private clients across the UK, Andy has built a reputation for quality and professionalism.
Andy’s stocking expertise also extends to brand new shotguns and he works closely with James Purdey & Sons.
There is a surprising level of intricate carving behind the metal work in a shotgun. Andy cuts, shapes and carves in three dimensions so the workings and moving parts of the gun’s internal mechanism sit tightly and securely within the wood. It’s a specialist craft derived from a deep understanding of the materials and the mechanism.
