Arable

The Estate has a mixture of soil types, which lend themselves to a range of combinable arable crops.

Winter wheat is the main crop grown on the farm. The wheat is grown as milling wheat for flour production.

Winter Barley is the second cereal crop grown on the farm. The barley is grown as malting barley for the brewing industry, including our very own Renegade brewery .  Click on the video at the bottom of the page to see the team harvesting this year's malting barley for Renegade Brewery

Oilseed Rape, Beans and Peas are the main break crops grown on the farm. The rape seed is crushed to extract the oil content for use in food production and the petro chemical industry and the beans and peas go into aninal feed

The Estate also rents additional land in the locality and undertakes contract farming operations as well. We are very keen to take on additional farmland on either a tenanted or contract farmed basis. If you would like to discuss an opportunity like this in more detail, please contact us .
